AVR provided audio video integration for 14 rooms in Palo Verde's new
30,000-sf facility. The main feature is a video wall with thirty 42” NEC Ultra Thin Bezel LCD flat panel displays. The flat panel displays were a proposed change by AVR from the originally specified rear-projection cubes. This change saved Palo Verde $100,000 in initial equipment costs and reduced their annual operating expenses.
The facility also hosts eight 65” touch screen LCD displays with built-in audio, video cameras and audio reinforcement systems for audio and video conferencing. A 225-seat auditorium is equipped with a ceiling-mounted projector along with a motorized 140” x 87” recessed screen and two 65” displays mounted in the back of the room for participants seated on stage. The training area has four ceiling mounted projectors with four motorized, recessed 8 x 6 screens.
